Figuration Life Drawing

Join us for an intimate evening of figuration life drawing, where visual art and live music meet in real time. On March 5th, I’ll be providing a live, improvisational soundtrack on trumpet—creating a responsive soundscape that supports focus, flow, and creative exploration.

These sessions offer artists of all levels a chance to engage deeply with the human form while immersed in a warm, thoughtfully curated atmosphere. Whether you’re sketching, painting, or simply observing, the music will move with the room—subtle, expressive, and rooted in jazz, soul, and improvisation.

Come draw. Come listen. Come be part of a shared creative moment.

SHOUT! The Band

On Saturday, March 7th, I’m hitting the stage with SHOUT! The Band at DROM Taberna for our first show of the year — and we’re coming in loud.

As one of Toronto’s biggest and most electrifying brass bands, SHOUT! doesn’t just perform… we ignite rooms. Big horns. Deep grooves. New arrangements. Fresh originals. The kind of energy that moves your body before your mind even catches up.

We’ve been building a ton of new music over the winter and this night will be the first time it all comes to life in front of a crowd. If you’ve been to a SHOUT! show before, you already know — it’s sweat, soul, and celebration. If you haven’t, this is the one to start with.

Come ready to dance.

Come ready to feel something.

Come ready to SHOUT.

JAMII & SUMMER WORKS (Copy)

While Jamii regularly hosts outdoor programming throughout the year to unite our community on various occasions, and SummerWorks aims to showcase new and innovative Canadian work, I want to emphasize that the event dates have been deliberately chosen around August 1st to align with Emancipation Day. This intentional scheduling allows us to curate a program centered on the overarching theme of emancipation.

Please note that, although we won't explicitly market the event as an Emancipation Day celebrationwe do plan to acknowledge this significant day on the event itself to raise awareness among our audience. The essence of our intent holds great meaning to us. There is no need for you to adjust or alter your performance based on this thematic elementTIMES AND LOCATION:

The performances would be in the early evening (around 6 to 8pm), in David Crombie park, where Jamii’s home is. The performance would be outdoors (we have a back up space indoors in case of bad weather).

AUDIENCE:

Our events are free, open to everyone (all ages, with families), and free. We expect between 100 and 250 audience membeYou can find out more about our organizations here:
